Re:Nova Switzerland takes the privacy of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. It applies to all visitors and customers of the Re:Nova platform.
This policy is compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP / revDSG, in force since September 2023), and the EU ePrivacy Directive.

Data We Collect
Data you provide directly
- Account & order data: Name, email address, delivery address, phone number, order history, payment method type (not card details)
- Communication data: Emails, enquiries, and other correspondence you send us
- Measurement data: If you request custom sizing, body measurements you voluntarily provide
Data collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
- Usage data: Pages visited, time on site, referral source, click behaviour

How We Use Your Data
- To fulfil your order: Processing payment, managing production, coordinating shipping, and handling returns (Legal basis: Contract performance)
- To communicate with you: Order confirmations, shipping updates, and customer service responses (Legal basis: Contract performance / Legitimate interest)
- To send marketing communications: Only if you have explicitly opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time. (Legal basis: Consent)
- To improve our platform: Analysing site usage to improve the customer experience (Legal basis: Legitimate interest)
- To meet legal obligations: Including tax records, customs documentation, and compliance with Swiss and EU law (Legal basis: Legal obligation)
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary with:
- Shopify Inc.: Our e-commerce platform provider, which processes order and payment data on our behalf
- Payment processors: (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) for secure payment processing — they handle your card data directly and we never see or store card details
- Shipping partners: Name, address, and order details are shared with our fulfilment and courier partners to enable delivery
- Email service providers: For transactional and marketing emails, if you have opted in
- Legal authorities: Where required by law, court order, or regulatory obligation
All third-party processors we work with are required to handle your data in compliance with applicable data protection law.
International Data Transfers
As orders are produced in India and our e-commerce infrastructure is operated by US-based Shopify, your data may be transferred outside the EEA and Switzerland. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable) in accordance with GDPR Chapter V and the Swiss nFADP.
Data Retention
- Order data: Retained for 10 years to meet Swiss accounting and tax obligations
- Account data: Retained while your account is active, then deleted within 90 days of account closure upon request
- Marketing preferences: Retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent
- Enquiry/correspondence data: Retained for 3 years
Your Rights
Under GDPR and the Swiss nFADP, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations
- Right to restrict processing: Ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances
- Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interest, including direct marketing
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing
To exercise any of these rights, email support@renovaswitzerland.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your national EU data protection authority.
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure, including TLS/HTTPS encryption, access controls, and processor agreements. However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its effective date. Significant changes will be communicated to registered customers by email.
