Founded in Pune in 2020 by Ekta Singh and Divya Chauhan, Deeta began with a question: why is it so hard to buy Indian handloom at a price that is honest to the weaver? Their answer was to cut out the middleman entirely. Working directly with Chanderi weavers in Madhya Pradesh, Banarasi craftspeople in Varanasi, and handloom workers in West Bengal, the brand produces clothing and homeware that treat every textile decision , from warp to hem , with the same rigour and care.
