The Noor Kaftan is cut in a full-length, flowing silhouette from the finest, most sheer cotton The Raw India works with — barely-there in weight, extraordinary in movement. It is embroidered by hand in Lucknow using the art of chikankari: white thread worked into white cloth in intricate, labour-intensive floral and geometric motifs. A piece for warm evenings and occasions that call for something considered. Named for Noor, meaning light.

Care instructions

• Hand wash gently in cold water or machine wash on a delicate cycle
• Use a mild, pH-neutral detergent; avoid bleach and harsh chemicals
• Do not soak for extended periods
• Dry flat in the shade — direct sunlight may weaken delicate embroidery threads over time
• Iron on a low heat on the reverse side; avoid direct ironing over embroidered areas
• Minor variation between pieces is natural to hand embroidery and part of its character

Sustainability
Designed in Jaipur and made in Lucknow in collaboration with skilled local artisans. The art of chikankari is practised using traditional techniques passed down through generations of embroiderers. Small-batch production ensures that every piece receives individual attention and that waste is kept minimal.
