The Mahal Blouse is cut as a cropped, relaxed silhouette from fine, sheer cotton. Hand-embroidered in Lucknow using the art of chikankari, it carries intricate white thread work in floral and shadow stitch patterns on a pale, airy ground. A piece of extraordinary delicacy — suited to warm evenings or layered in cooler weather. Named for the mahal, the palace, a nod to the craft's Mughal origins.

Care instructions

• Hand wash gently in cold water or machine wash on a delicate cycle
• Use a mild, pH-neutral detergent; avoid bleach and harsh chemicals
• Do not soak for extended periods
• Dry flat in the shade — direct sunlight may weaken delicate embroidery threads over time
• Iron on a low heat on the reverse side; avoid direct ironing over embroidered areas
• Minor variation between pieces is natural to hand embroidery and part of its character

Designed in Jaipur and made in Lucknow in collaboration with skilled local artisans. The art of chikankari is practised using traditional techniques passed down through generations of embroiderers. Small-batch production ensures that every piece receives individual attention and that waste is kept minimal.
