Kashi Dress Chikankari Border Print

The Kashi Dress brings together two of India's most distinguished craft traditions in a single garment. The body is hand block-printed in Jaipur in a subtle all-over print; the borders — at the hem, cuffs and neckline — are hand-embroidered in Lucknow using chikankari, white thread on white cotton in intricate floral motifs. The dress is cut in a fluid, maxi-length silhouette in lightweight cotton. A considered piece, made across two cities. Named for Kashi, the ancient name for Varanasi.

Care instructions

• Hand wash gently in cold water or machine wash on a delicate cycle
• Use a mild, pH-neutral detergent; avoid bleach and harsh chemicals
• Do not soak for extended periods
• Dry flat in the shade — direct sunlight may fade both block-printed and embroidered areas
• Iron on a low heat on the reverse side; avoid direct ironing over chikankari embroidery
• Minor variation between pieces is natural to both hand block printing and hand embroidery

Designed in Jaipur and made in collaboration with skilled artisans across India — block printing in Jaipur and chikankari embroidery in Lucknow. Traditional techniques, passed down through generations, are used throughout. Small-batch production ensures minimal waste and individual attention to every piece.
