Dry clean only. Do not wring, bleach or tumble dry. Store folded in the dust bag provided, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A cedar block in the drawer helps protect natural fibres from moths. Light pilling is natural in fine cashmere and can be removed gently with a cashmere comb.
Craft & Sustainability
Handwoven on traditional wooden looms in Kashmir by master weavers, each piece takes over 90 hours of skilled work. Pashmina is the finest grade of cashmere, combed from the soft undercoat of Himalayan mountain goats — exceptionally light, warm and breathable. Because every piece is woven by hand, slight irregularities in the weave and pattern are natural — a mark of craft, not imperfection. Bombay Birds works directly with weaving families in Kashmir, supporting fair livelihoods and keeping this centuries-old craft alive.
About Bombay Birds
Bombay Birds is a design label rooted in the living craft traditions of India. Working closely with artisan communities in Rajasthan, Kutch and Kashmir, they create beautifully made home textiles, pashminas and jewellery that carry the visible marks of the hands that made them — the irregular rhythm of a handloom, the warmth of hand embroidery, the imperfect precision of block-printing. Their work is guided by a commitment to slow production, fair livelihoods for artisans, and designs that are made to last.
Delivery
