Jaigarh Shirt White Chikankari

The Jaigarh Shirt is cut in an oversized, relaxed fit from fine, sheer cotton — light enough for the heat, considered enough for an occasion. This version is embroidered by hand in Lucknow using the art of chikankari: white thread worked into white cloth in intricate floral motifs inspired by Mughal garden imagery. Each shirt takes many hours of skilled hand work to complete. A garment of quiet, rare craftsmanship. Named for Jaigarh Fort, which stands guard above Jaipur from the Aravalli hills.

Care instructions

• Hand wash gently in cold water or machine wash on a delicate cycle
• Use a mild, pH-neutral detergent; avoid bleach and harsh chemicals
• Do not soak for extended periods
• Dry flat in the shade — direct sunlight may weaken delicate embroidery threads over time
• Iron on a low heat on the reverse side; avoid direct ironing over embroidered areas
• Minor variation between pieces is natural to hand embroidery and part of its character

Designed in Jaipur and made in Lucknow in collaboration with skilled local artisans. The art of chikankari is practised using traditional techniques passed down through generations of embroiderers. Small-batch production ensures that every piece receives individual attention and that waste is kept minimal.
