Help & Guidance

Everything you need
to know, before you ask.

From how your order is made, to how it fits — we've answered the questions we hear most, honestly and in full.

Orders &
Made to Order.
How long will my order take to arrive? +
Every piece on Re:Nova is Made to Order — your item is created specifically for you after you place your order. We ask for 14 working days for production, plus shipping time of 7–14 business days to Switzerland and the EU.

Estimated total from order to doorstep: 4–6 weeks. We know that's longer than the fast-fashion norm — and that's precisely the point. Good things take time. 📦 You'll receive a production update by email when your piece enters the making process, and a tracking number once it ships.
Why is everything Made to Order? Why don't you hold stock? +
Fast fashion overproduces an estimated 30% more than it sells — and burns or discards what doesn't move. Made to Order means every piece exists because someone wanted it. No warehouse full of unsold garments. No waste. Your purchase is the trigger for creation, not the outcome of mass production.

This is one of the ways conscious fashion differs from conventional retail — and one of the things we're most proud of.
Can I cancel or change my order after placing it? +
Because your piece goes into production quickly, we can only accept cancellations or changes within 24 hours of your order being placed. After that, production has likely begun and we're unable to make changes.

Please email support@renovaswitzerland.com immediately if you need to adjust anything.
Will I receive confirmation of my order? +
Yes — you'll receive an email confirmation as soon as your order is placed, including your order details and estimated delivery window. You'll receive a second update when production begins, and a tracking link once your order has shipped.
Can I request a custom size or fit? +
Some of our brands offer made-to-measure options — where your specific measurements are used to create the piece. Where this is available, you'll see a "Custom Size" option on the product page.

For other enquiries, email us at support@renovaswitzerland.com before ordering and we'll check with the brand directly.
Shipping &
Delivery.
Where are orders shipped from? +
Orders are produced in India and shipped directly from our production partners there, via tracked international courier. Re:Nova is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, and our fulfilment partner manages the India-to-Europe shipments on our behalf.
Which countries do you deliver to? +
We currently ship to Switzerland, all EU member states, and the United Kingdom. If your country isn't listed at checkout, please contact us — we're expanding our reach regularly.
How much does shipping cost? +
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery country and the weight of your order. All costs are shown in full before you confirm your purchase — no surprises.
Will I be charged customs or import duties? +
Swiss customers: As a Swiss-based business, domestic orders do not incur additional Swiss customs charges.

EU customers: Since Re:Nova ships from India, your order may be subject to import VAT and customs duties levied by your country's customs authority. These charges are outside our control and are the buyer's responsibility.

UK customers: Similar import rules apply. Please check with HMRC for current rates.

We always declare accurate values on customs documentation. We do not falsify or under-declare shipment values. 💡 Customs thresholds vary by country. EU orders above €150 typically attract import VAT. Check your country's rules at checkout.
How is my order packaged? +
Every Re:Nova order arrives in minimal, plastic-free packaging — because the same values that govern how the garment was made extend to how it's delivered. Tissue paper, natural string, and recycled card — nothing more than needed.
How do I track my order? +
Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with a tracking number and link. Tracking updates may take 24–48 hours to appear after dispatch. If you haven't received a tracking email within 16 working days of your order, please contact us.
Returns &
Refunds.
Can I return my order? +
Because every Re:Nova piece is Made to Order — created specifically for you — items are generally non-returnable under EU and Swiss consumer law, which recognises custom goods as exempt from the standard right of withdrawal.

However, because we want you to shop with confidence, we offer a 7-day goodwill return window from the date your order is delivered. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and unaltered, with all original tags attached. 📋 To start a return, email support@renovaswitzerland.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number. We'll guide you from there.
What condition must items be in to be returned? +
Returned items must be:

— Unworn and unwashed
— Unaltered and undamaged
— In their original packaging
— With all tags and labels attached

We cannot accept returns on items that show signs of wear, have been washed, altered, or have tags removed. Items returned outside the 7-day window will be sent back to the customer.
What if my item arrives damaged or incorrect? +
If your item arrives with a manufacturing defect, or if we sent you the wrong item — we'll make it right, fully and without hesitation. Please email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the issue, and we will arrange either a replacement or a full refund at no cost to you, including return shipping.
Who pays for return shipping? +
Goodwill returns: Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot be held responsible for returns lost in transit.

Faulty or incorrect items: We'll cover all return shipping costs in full.
When will I receive my refund? +
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, it may take a further 3–5 days to appear on your statement.
Do you offer exchanges? +
Because every item is Made to Order, like-for-like exchanges aren't always possible within a quick timeframe. If you'd like a different size, please contact us — we'll assess options with the brand and do our best to find a solution. For size concerns before ordering, we strongly recommend consulting Size Guide in Topics (sidebar) and emailing us if you're unsure.
Sizing &
Fit.
How do I know what size to order? +
We strongly recommend measuring yourself and comparing to the size chart on each product page — rather than going by your usual label size. Indian artisan sizing can differ from standard EU/Swiss sizing, and each brand cuts slightly differently.

Size Guide in Topics explains exactly how to measure yourself and includes a full conversion table. If you're between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up for comfort.
Do Indian brands run smaller than EU/Swiss sizes? +
Generally, yes. Indian garment sizing tends to run one size smaller than standard EU sizing. An Indian size M often corresponds to an EU size S, for example. This is exactly why we include measurements in centimetres on every product — always use the measurements, not the label.
What if the size guide and product description differ? +
The measurements listed on the individual product page take priority over the general size guide, as they reflect the specific garment's construction. When in doubt, email us at support@renovaswitzerland.com before ordering — we're happy to advise.
Is sizing available for plus sizes? +
Conscious fashion should be accessible to everyone. Many of our brands offer sizes up to 3XL, and some offer custom sizing on request. Where available, this is clearly shown on the product page. If you can't find your size, reach out — we'll work with the brand directly to see what's possible.
Size Guide &
Fit.
Your Perfect Fit

How to find
your right size.

Because these pieces are Made to Order, getting your size right the first time matters. Take 2 minutes to measure yourself — it's worth it.

A B C D A=Bust B=Waist C=Hips D=Length
How to measure yourself
A
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor. Wear a well-fitting bra and keep the tape snug but not tight.
B
Waist
Measure around your natural waistline — the narrowest part of your torso, usually about 2–3 cm above your belly button. Exhale naturally before measuring.
C
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, usually 18–22 cm below your natural waist. Stand with feet together.
D
Length (Inseam)
For trousers and long skirts: measure from the crotch seam down the inside of your leg to your ankle. It helps to have someone measure this for you.
💡 Always measure over fitted undergarments, not bulky clothing. When between sizes, size up for comfort.
Size Conversion Charts

All measurements in centimetres. Indian artisan sizing typically runs 1 size smaller than EU labelling — always use measurements, not the label.

📏
Indian sizing typically runs one full size smaller than EU labelling. A garment tagged "M" by an Indian brand will usually fit an EU 36 (S). We always list measurements in centimetres on every product — use those, not the label on the tag.
Tops & Dresses
If your bust and waist measurements fall in different sizes, choose based on bust for tops and the larger of the two for dresses with a defined waist.
Handloom & Woven Fabrics
Handwoven fabrics have very little stretch. When in doubt, size up — a slightly larger handloom piece wears and drapes beautifully; a too-small one won't give.
Still unsure?
Email us before ordering. We know our brands' cuts and can advise on specific styles. It's much easier than a return.
Custom sizing
Several brands offer made-to-measure. Look for the Custom Size option on the product page, or ask us — we'll connect you with the brand directly.
Our Brands &
Verification.
How exactly do you verify your brands? +
Every brand on Re:Nova passes our two-stage independent assessment: 60 questions across Stage 1 and 2, and 35 evidence checkpoints — not self-declarations, but actual documentation, supplier records, and worker condition evidence.

We assess across six dimensions: environment, labour conditions, community benefit, supply chain transparency, governance, and certifications. Brands that don't pass are told why and given the opportunity to improve. No brand pays to be verified — it is entirely merit-based.
What certifications do your brands hold? +
Certifications vary by brand and are shown in full on each brand's profile page. Common certifications across our portfolio include:

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
Fair Trade certified
Craftmark (India's artisan certification)
Handloom Mark (authentic handloom verification)
Fair Wear Foundation
Is Re:Nova compliant with the EU Green Claims Directive? +
Yes. The EU Green Claims Directive (effective March 2026) requires that all environmental claims made about fashion products be substantiated with evidence. Re:Nova's verification methodology was built to exactly this standard before the directive came into force — we were ready before the regulation required it. Every claim on our platform is backed by documented proof.
Can I apply to have my brand listed on Re:Nova? +
We're always looking for extraordinary Indian ethical brands to join our ecosystem. Brands must be based in India and willing to go through our full verification process. Email support@renovaswitzerland.com with "Brand Enquiry" in the subject line and tell us about what you make.
Sustainability &
Materials.
What materials do your brands use? +
Our brands work with a wide range of consciously sourced materials — from organic and handspun cotton, khadi, and handloom silk, to natural plant-based dyes, recycled fabrics, and upcycled deadstock. Every product page lists the exact materials and their origins. We don't allow vague descriptions — if it's on our platform, we know what it is.
How does buying from Re:Nova reduce my environmental impact? +
In three concrete ways:

1. Made to Order eliminates overproduction waste entirely.
2. Verified materials — organic, natural-dyed, handloom — require significantly less water, chemicals, and energy than conventional production.
3. Fair livelihoods mean the communities making the clothes are not exploited into accepting conditions that externalise social and environmental costs.

One person choosing verified ethical fashion for a full year saves an estimated 1.2 tonnes CO₂, 90,000 litres of water, and 27 kg of textile waste.
How do I care for my piece to make it last? +
Care instructions are included with every garment. For handloom and natural-dye pieces, we generally recommend:

Cold hand wash or gentle machine cycle
— Mild, natural detergent
— Dry in shade (not direct sunlight, which can fade natural dyes)
— Store folded, not hung (for knits and heavier weaves)

A well-cared-for piece made this way will outlast five fast-fashion alternatives.
Payments &
Account.
What payment methods do you accept? +
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), PayPal, and TWINT for Swiss customers. All transactions are processed in Swiss Francs (CHF). Currency conversion may apply for non-CHF card holders.
Is my payment information secure? +
Yes. All payments are processed through encrypted, PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateways. Re:Nova never stores your card details — these are handled entirely by our payment processor. Our site uses HTTPS encryption throughout.
Do I need an account to order? +
No. You can check out as a guest without creating an account. Creating an account simply lets you track orders, view purchase history, and save your address for future orders. We never share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
I haven't received my order confirmation email — what should I do? +
Check your spam or junk folder first — our emails occasionally get filtered. If it's not there, email us at support@renovaswitzerland.com with the email address you used at checkout and we'll resend your confirmation.
