Care instructions
- Hand wash in cold water using a mild detergent. Do not wring.
- Dry flat in the shade. Iron on a low to medium setting on the reverse side.
- Handle the shibori-dyed areas and hand embroidery gently to preserve texture and colour.
Sustainability
Woven by hand by master weavers in Murshidabad and Banaras — two of India's most storied silk-weaving centres. The Arashi Shibori dyeing technique creates the collection's distinctive textured colour gradients by binding and dyeing the fabric on a pole — a meditative, labour-intensive process that cannot be replicated by machine. The hand embroidery on each piece is done by artisans at TheLoomart's studio, ensuring that no two garments are identical.

TheLoomart is a Kolkata-based label that works at the intersection of handloom heritage and contemporary design. The Between The Lines collection is built around handwoven silk fabrics sourced from Murshidabad and Banaras — dyed using the Arashi Shibori technique, which creates the collection's signature textured, gradient surfaces. Each piece is finished with kantha embroidery, French knot work and free-hand embroidery by skilled artisans, making every garment a record of the craft that went into it.
