Midsummer bandhani smocked dress

The Midsummer Bandhani takes the smocked bodice of the Midsummer Smocked and reimagines the skirt in grey bandhani — a resist-dye technique where each knot creates a circular pattern in the fabric that cannot be precisely repeated. Structure at the top, spontaneity at the bottom.

Care instructions

• Hand wash in cold water — use a mild, pH-neutral liquid detergent; avoid powder detergents
• Wash separately for the first several washes, especially for dark shades, as natural dye may release
• Hang to dry in shade. Never expose to direct sunlight while wet
• Do not tumble dry. Iron on low heat from the reverse side

Sustainability
This piece is made in organic cotton gauge and hand-dyed in small batches using low-impact dyes. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides, uses significantly less water than conventional cotton, and supports healthier farming conditions. Dyeing in small batches reduces chemical runoff and ensures tighter colour control. Minor variations between pieces are inherent to the artisanal process and are not defects.
