Shima dress

The Shima Dress is a mid-length silhouette with texture and movement — side gathers, patchwork construction and a tie-back detail that adjusts the fit at the reverse. Made in handwoven cotton, the patchwork panels give it depth and interest without excess. Subtle, chic, and made to be worn.

Our model is 5'7" (170 cm) and wears a size M.

Care instructions

• Hand wash gently in cold water using a mild detergent
• Do not wring — press gently in a towel to remove excess water and dry flat in the shade
• Iron on a low to medium heat on the reverse side only
• Handle embroidered and hand-stitched details with care to preserve the handwork
• Minor variation in the embroidery is inherent to the handcraft process

Sustainability
All fabrics are handwoven by artisans using traditional techniques. Deeta works in small batches, directly with weavers and craftspeople, to ensure fair wages, minimal waste, and garments designed to last. Natural fibres, slow production, and handmade details are at the core of every piece.

Deeta is a slow fashion label grounded in India's handloom and handicraft traditions. Working closely with weavers from West Bengal and artisans across India, Deeta creates garments that combine the warmth of handwoven cotton with hand embroidery, natural dyes, block printing and shibori techniques. Every piece is made in small batches, each one carrying the mark of the hands that made it.
